Supreme Court Provides Major Relief to Vodafone Idea, Shares Surge Over 14%
Supreme Court's Significant Ruling
The Supreme Court has granted substantial relief to Vodafone regarding its outstanding AGR dues. The court's recent statements have cleared the uncertainty surrounding the AGR issue.

Previously, on October 27, the Supreme Court held hearings that left many uncertainties regarding the case. There was significant speculation about whether the court would address only the ₹9,500 crore dues or the entire ₹80,000 crore outstanding AGR.
Government's Considerations
The Supreme Court noted that considering the government's stake in the telecom company and the impact on 200 million consumers, the government is free to reconsider and make appropriate decisions on this issue.
