Rajasthan Chief Minister Flags Off 'Honor Run' Marathon in Jaipur

Inauguration of the 'Honor Run' Marathon

On Sunday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the 'Honor Run' marathon in Jaipur. This event was organized by the South Western Command of the Army to honor the bravery and sacrifices of veterans.


Event Highlights

The marathon commenced from Albert Hall, with notable attendees including Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Command, and former Navy Chief Admiral Madhavendra Singh. Sharma remarked that the significant turnout of enthusiastic youth, despite the chilly weather, reflects the deep respect the public holds for the armed forces.


A Tribute to Martyrs

The Chief Minister stated, "This marathon is dedicated to our martyrs. The 'Honor Run' serves as a tribute to those brave soldiers who devoted their entire lives to our motherland." He emphasized that it is the duty of every citizen to honor the military. Sharma further noted that such events are not mere formalities but valuable lessons for the younger generation. Comprehensive security measures were implemented around Albert Hall for the event, and traffic routes were altered in several areas to accommodate the marathon.
