Protests Erupt Over Health Services in Sidhi District

In Sidhi district, right-wing activists expressed their frustration over inadequate health services by attacking Civil Surgeon S.B. Khare with ink. The incident occurred as he was leaving his clinic, and the assailants threatened his life. Following the attack, police have arrested four individuals, including the leader of the group, Vivek Pandey. The authorities are currently investigating the matter further. Incident Involving Civil Surgeon

In Sidhi district, discontent among right-wing activists led to an incident on Monday where they threw ink at Civil Surgeon S.B. Khare, following their grievances regarding the lack of improvements in health facilities despite multiple petitions submitted.


According to police reports, the incident occurred as Dr. Khare was exiting his private clinic in Sidhi city, preparing to leave for official duties in a government vehicle.


Dr. Khare stated in his complaint that a group of right-wing activists, led by Vivek Pandey, confronted him and threw ink at him in protest against the poor health services in the district. He also mentioned that the assailants threatened his life.


As the Civil Surgeon's driver and assistant attempted to intervene, the attackers fled the scene. The officer in charge of Jamodi police station, Divya Prakash Tripathi, confirmed that a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) concerning the incident. He added that four individuals, including Vivek Pandey, have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
