Mohan Charan Majhi's Upcoming Visit to Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, is set to travel to Jharkhand on Tuesday to participate in rallies supporting the BJP candidate for the Ghatsila by-election, according to a party representative.

Majhi's schedule includes rallies at the Gandhaniyahat Ground in the Ghatsila block and the Baliyaposh football ground in Gurabandha block.

Party officials expressed that the arrival of Majhi is expected to energize the local party workers. They noted that all senior leaders and party members are tirelessly engaging with the public and campaigning for the NDA candidate.

The need for the Ghatsila bypoll arose after the passing of the sitting JMM MLA, Ramdas Soren, on August 15.

The BJP has nominated Babulal Soren, the son of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, while the ruling JMM has put forward Somesh Chandra Soren, Ramdas' son.

Voting for the by-election is scheduled for November 11, with the counting of votes taking place on November 14.
