Arrest of Suspect in Noida Advocate's Suicide Case

In Noida's Sector 39, law enforcement apprehended a male lawyer on Wednesday, accused of driving a female advocate to suicide. According to police reports, the suspect has been presented in court.

The accused, also a lawyer, allegedly engaged in a physical relationship with the female advocate under the pretense of marriage, only to later refuse to marry her. Distressed by this betrayal, the female advocate tragically took her own life at her residence on Tuesday.

Assistant Police Commissioner Praveen Kumar Singh revealed that the suspect is originally from Bihar and resides in Block B of Sector 105. The 24-year-old victim was a practicing lawyer who was involved in a romantic relationship with another lawyer, a fact known to her family.

The young woman had been promised marriage by her partner, but he later retracted his commitment. Overwhelmed by this situation, she ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home on Tuesday. Upon receiving news of the incident, police arrived at the scene and took the body for a post-mortem examination.

Based on a complaint from the victim's family, authorities registered a case and arrested the accused on Wednesday. The suspect has since been presented in court, where he was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody.
