Leopard Attack in Pauri District

In a shocking incident in Pauri district of Uttarakhand, a leopard attacked a four-year-old boy on Tuesday, leaving him injured. Officials reported that the attack occurred in Dewar village when Anmol was returning home from an anganwadi with his mother and a community health worker.


According to authorities, the leopard ambushed the child during their walk. The commotion caused by the boy's mother, the health worker, and nearby villagers prompted the leopard to flee the scene.


The child sustained injuries to his head and was promptly taken to the district hospital for treatment, where he was later discharged after receiving care.


This incident has instilled fear among the local residents, who are now urging the forest department to take action against the leopard menace. Ayesha Bisht, the Sub-Divisional Officer of the Garhwal Forest Division, stated that a team will be dispatched to increase patrols in the area and raise awareness among the villagers.
