Kejriwal Urges CMs to Provide Free Bus Services for NEET Students

Arvind Kejriwal has called on all Chief Ministers to offer free bus services for students taking the NEET exam. Following Punjab's lead, Haryana and Bihar have also announced similar measures. Kejriwal shared a heartfelt video appeal, urging support for students during this crucial time. He praised the initiatives taken by Bihar and Haryana and requested NGOs to assist in providing necessary amenities for students. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on students and ensure they can focus on their exams without additional stress.
 

Kejriwal's Appeal to State Chief Ministers

Arvind Kejriwal has made a significant request to all Chief Ministers across the country. He urged them, including those from BJP-ruled states, to offer free bus services for students taking the NEET examination in their respective states.


Following Punjab's Lead

Previously, Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that students appearing for the NEET exam would receive complete relief from bus fares. Both Kejriwal and Mann shared this information through a video. Following Punjab's initiative, the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Bihar have also declared free bus services for students in their states.


Kejriwal Shares Video on Social Media

On Sunday, Kejriwal posted a video on the social media platform 'X', lasting about a minute. In this video, he earnestly appealed to all Chief Ministers, stating, "I request all Chief Ministers to please make bus travel completely free for all students taking the NEET re-exam on June 21."


Praise for Bihar and Haryana

In the video, Kejriwal expressed his happiness that Bihar and Haryana have followed Punjab's example. He expressed hope that other state leaders would take similar actions. Notably, Bihar's Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary mentioned on 'X' that all government buses in Bihar would offer free travel for students participating in the exam.


Request for Support from NGOs and Community Organizations

The Chief Minister of Bihar has also reached out to district administrations, temples, and NGOs, requesting their assistance. He asked them to arrange drinking water and food items like sattu for students and their parents at bus stands, railway stations, and other key locations. He extended best wishes to all students for their exams.


Free Travel in Haryana for Two Days

Meanwhile, Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that students taking the NEET exam would enjoy free travel on Haryana Roadways buses on June 20 and 21. Students can travel for free by showing their NEET admit cards. The Chief Minister emphasized that the success of the youth is the government's top priority and wished all students the best for their exams.
