India's Rising Status in Shooting Sports

Highlighting India's emergence as a premier location for elite shooting training, the Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation (GNSPF) recently welcomed a 16-member shooting team from Indonesia, along with two coaches, for an intensive three-month high-performance training camp held at its facilities in Pune and Hyderabad.

Training Camp Details

Running from February 15 to May 15, 2026, the camp featured top Indonesian shooters, including Olympians Diaz Kusumawardani, who participated in the London 2012 Olympics, and Vidya Rafika Rahmattan Toyyiba, who competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The group also included athletes vying for spots on the Indonesian team for the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026.

Comprehensive Training and Support

Throughout their training, the Indonesian athletes worked alongside India's top shooters, gaining invaluable experience in high-performance settings. They had access to state-of-the-art facilities, specialized sports science support, advanced performance analysis tools like SCATT systems, and a skilled coaching team.

Competitive Experience Gained

The Indonesian team also took part in the Khelo India Shooting Championship (KSSM) - 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship, a prestigious domestic event that drew numerous competitors and offered the athletes essential match experience against formidable opponents.
