Tribute to Kushok Bakula Rinpoche

On Tuesday, Vinai Kumar Saxena, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, honored the legacy of the 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche at the historic Pethub Monastery in Mongolia. He referred to the monastery as a representation of the lasting cultural, spiritual, and diplomatic connections between India and Mongolia. In a message shared on X, Saxena expressed his honor in joining the 20th Bakula Rinpoche, Mongolian parliamentary leaders, former President Nambaryn Enkhbayar, Indian Ambassador to Mongolia Atul Malhari Gotsurve, and other notable figures to celebrate the life and contributions of this esteemed Buddhist leader.

Saxena emphasized that Pethub Monastery is a significant reminder of the 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche's efforts in enhancing modern relations between India and Mongolia. Revered in both nations, Bakula Rinpoche was instrumental in revitalizing Buddhist and cultural exchanges following years of political transformation in the region.
