Assam CM Criticizes Opposition, Highlights Modi's Ideals

On Wednesday, Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi embodies the ideals of Lord Ram, contrasting this with the Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav and his father, RJD president Lalu Prasad, whom he described as representatives of 'Babar and Aurangzeb's legacy.'

While addressing a rally in the Chanpatia assembly constituency of West Champaran district, the senior BJP leader asserted, 'Only those who worship Lord Ram and are dedicated like Lakshman deserve to be the Chief Minister of Bihar. The people of Bihar will choose their leader without needing advice from Owaisi.'

Sarma also took aim at Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), suggesting, 'If Owaisi is so restless, I offer him a ticket to Pakistan where he can help his preferred candidates win elections.'

He emphasized, 'Modi symbolizes the ideals of Ram and Lakshman, while Tejashwi and Lalu represent the legacy of Babar and Aurangzeb. The Bihar assembly elections are a battle between two ideologies.'

Sarma claimed that for the first time in a long while, Hindus are able to live, speak, and move freely in the country, attributing this change to Modi's leadership. He expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would vote for the NDA.

Having been associated with Congress until 2015, Sarma also launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, labeling him 'an enemy of the nation.'

The Assam Chief Minister accused the BJP's opponents of criticizing the 'Special Intensive Review' (SIR) because they rely on votes from Bangladeshi infiltrators to win elections.
