On Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated 'Viniyam', a certified digital platform aimed at modernizing and streamlining operations at all land ports in India. This platform facilitates seamless coordination among various stakeholders, including customs, immigration authorities, the Border Security Force, and other agencies involved in land port operations. During the inauguration, Shah emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision has transformed land ports into the frontline of border security while ensuring smooth and secure trade.

According to the announcement, the LPMS, fully integrated with key national platforms like ICEGATE, ULIP, and the motor vehicle ecosystem, will enable interoperable, efficient, and transparent border management.
