Known for her commitment to fitness and endurance sports, Saiyami vacationed in Rome alongside her parents and sister. While soaking in the stunning sights, rich history, and delectable cuisine of the Eternal City, she seized the opportunity to participate in the Half Rome Marathon.

Saiyami, who has a history of competing in Ironman triathlons and long-distance races, emphasizes that fitness transcends mere routine; it embodies her lifestyle.

Reflecting on her experience, Saiyami shared, “Exploring a city on foot is the best way to appreciate it… running through its streets allows you to feel its vibrant energy. Whenever I travel, I aim to complete a half marathon. It’s my preferred method of discovery. Rome is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful runs I’ve ever experienced. From the Spanish Steps to the Trevi Fountain, and concluding at the Colosseum, it felt like I was running through a postcard. The weather was ideal, the air invigorating, and every turn revealed a piece of history. There were times I forgot I was racing; I was simply smiling and absorbing the atmosphere. After running 21 km through Rome, I certainly earned every slice of pizza and gelato that came afterward.”
