Jonathan Bailey Crowned People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive 2025
Jonathan Bailey Takes the Title
Jonathan Bailey, renowned for his roles in Bridgerton and Wicked, has been honored as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.
The announcement, marking the 40th anniversary of this prestigious title, was made during an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In the popular Netflix series Bridgerton, Bailey portrayed Lord Anthony Bridgerton. He humorously expressed his gratitude on the show, saying, “It’s an honour of a lifetime, and I want to say, Jimmy, thank you so much for turning it down so I could be here.”
During the show, Fallon revealed two magazine covers featuring Bailey—one showcasing him on a beach and another of him shirtless while holding a dog. Besides his role in Bridgerton, Bailey is also recognized for his performances as Prince Fiyero in Wicked and Dr. Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth. Fans can look forward to his upcoming appearance in Wicked: For Good, set to hit theaters on November 21.
Since its inception in 1985, People’s Sexiest Man Alive feature has become a beloved tradition, with Mel Gibson being the first recipient. Last year, John Krasinski held the title, joining the ranks of other notable winners like George Clooney, Patrick Dempsey, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Michael B. Jordan, and John Legend.
