Addressing the Viral Scene

Following the viral moment from Diljit Dosanjh’s music video 'Kufar', both he and his co-star Manushi Chhillar have spoken out regarding the ensuing controversy. The particular scene features a dancer lifting her leg while Dosanjh is seen in the background, accompanied by the lyrics “Jannat de darwaze kudiye,” which sparked criticism on social media. Manushi took to X to clarify that the scene was “not mine” and requested fans to show respect for the dancer, stating, “Not mine #iykyk…But can we please not disrespect the dancer who was simply doing her job.”

Diljit also addressed the criticism during an Instagram Live session, humorously remarking, “Bruh, mai ta othe khada si, aase paase pata ni ki challi janda si” (“Bro, I was just standing there — I didn’t even know what was happening around me”).
