Aneet Padda Dazzles at Lakme Fashion Week

Actor Aneet Padda captivated the audience as she took center stage as the showstopper for Tarun Tahiliani’s stunning collection, Bejeweled, during the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI.

Adorned in a striking golden beige ensemble by Tahiliani, her outfit beautifully merged traditional elements with modern aesthetics, showcasing exquisite shimmering details and crystal embellishments.

The collection debuted with striking black and gold armor-like jackets, kimonos, and jewel-printed bombers, seamlessly transitioning into elegant draped dresses and luxurious chiffons and satins in rich jewel tones such as emerald, aubergine, amethyst, and ruby. Pearls were creatively used as belts, bags, and talismans, symbolizing treasures held close.

Discussing his collection, Tarun Tahiliani expressed, “I aimed to illustrate that while we are increasingly influenced by Western styles, our traditions remain strong. Think of your grandmother or mother from smaller towns or rural areas; they still wear bangles and adorn themselves with tattoos and bindis. This is a uniquely Indian practice that we must cherish.”
