Dhurandhar The Revenge Breaks Records with Historic OTT Launch
Dhurandhar The Revenge Takes OTT by Storm
Following its impressive performance at the box office, both in India and globally, Dhurandhar The Revenge has made a significant impact in the OTT arena. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film premiered digitally on June 4 and became available for streaming on JioHotstar starting June 5. Despite being the most-viewed Indian film in theaters recently, audiences eagerly anticipated its OTT release. Once it launched, viewers flocked to rewatch the Ranveer Singh-led film, achieving the largest digital debut for an Indian movie.
Dhurandhar The Revenge Sets New OTT Records
The film has set a remarkable milestone on JioHotstar, amassing 50 million viewers within its opening weekend. This figure is nearly five times greater than the audience it attracted during its theatrical debut. It now holds the record for the biggest digital launch of any Indian film, available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
This spy thriller not only drew in viewers but also kept them engaged for extended periods. A significant 60% of the total viewing time was recorded on Connected TV devices, indicating that many chose to watch it on larger screens at home. JioHotstar enhanced the launch experience with a special Raw & Undekha version of the film, alongside a 30-minute pre-show featuring behind-the-scenes footage and stories from the cast. In just three days, the film garnered over 32 million video views on the platform.
