Ansiba Hassan Accuses Tiny Tom of Communal Remarks Amid AMMA Controversy
Allegations Against Tiny Tom Intensify
Malayalam actress Ansiba Hassan has escalated her accusations against fellow actor Tiny Tom, alleging that he made communal comments aimed at her. These claims were reportedly brought to her attention by actress Neena Kurup. The situation, which has already ignited discussions within the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), has now escalated to police involvement. Recently, Ansiba visited the Kadavanthra police station as part of the initial investigation into her complaint against Tiny Tom. She asserts that the remarks were not only derogatory but were also intended to settle personal grievances within the organization.

Ansiba Hassan Calls Out Tiny Tom's Communal Comments
Ansiba Hassan, who previously held the position of joint secretary at AMMA, claims that the comments directed at her were of a communal nature and part of a broader scheme to marginalize her within the artists' community. After her police statement, Ansiba revealed that she learned about the remarks from Neena Kurup, who allegedly overheard them. When questioned about her decision to act on comments she did not personally witness, Ansiba expressed trust in Neena's testimony, stating, "I see no reason why an artist like Neena Kurup would fabricate such an allegation." Furthermore, she accused Tiny Tom of using offensive language towards Neena Kurup as well. While unsure of how many would be willing to testify, she noted that Neena had already lodged a formal complaint with AMMA regarding the incident. Ansiba criticized the organization for its handling of the situation, pointing out that despite the complaints, Tiny Tom remains on the same committee within AMMA, suggesting a lack of seriousness in addressing the issue.
Background of the Controversy
All About the Controversy
This dispute arises months after Ansiba's resignation from AMMA on February 21. The actress, who is set to reprise her role as Anju George in the eagerly awaited Malayalam film Drishyam 3, cited harassment and insufficient institutional support as reasons for her exit. Earlier this year, Ansiba claimed she faced communal targeting and character assassination from certain AMMA members. She alleged that Tiny Tom labeled her a 'jihadi' and accused her of trying to convert others to her religion. According to Ansiba, these comments made her feel targeted due to her Muslim identity. Additionally, she claimed that false rumors about her personal life were spread, creating a hostile atmosphere within the organization. Ansiba expressed disappointment that AMMA's leadership did not support her when another female committee member allegedly filed a false police report against her. She served as joint secretary under actress Shwetha Menon, who became AMMA’s first female president in August of the previous year. Ansiba's resignation and her subsequent allegations have highlighted the internal conflicts within the association.
